HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)
HIIT class is a high intensity interval training class consisting of various exercises to address many aspects of Parkinson’s Disease including but not limited to mobility, reaction time, posture, flexibility, strength, vision, freezing, bradykinesia, cognition, balance, mood, voice, and endurance. Classes include boxing, footwork/agility, PWR!, functional strength/resistance training, cardio, and floor/core work.
All classes are taught by neurological physical and occupational therapists who are certified in LSVT BIG, PWR! and Rock Steady Boxing. These classes have fast transition times and require participants to be independent with mobility without an assistive device.
PWR!® Class
This is a fun and functional based class with emphasis on large amplitude, high effort exercises to target posture, weight shifting, trunk rotation, and transitional movements! These exercises are taught in a variety of positions and can be modified for all functional levels.
